DAY 01. USA/AMMAN. Depart for Amman. (D)
DAY 02. AMMAN. Arrival in Amman. Transfer
to our hotel for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
DAY 03. AMMAN/PETRA/AMMAN. This morning we
start our tour to Petra, "The Rose Red City -- Half as Old as Time."
This is an amazing "City of the Dead" with its streets, dwelling
places, tombs and temples carved from solid rock. Upon arrival at El Ji
Post we continue one more mile through the SIQ (natural gorge) and
arrive at the "Treasury." We will see the Nabatean Judgment Hall, Roman
Temple, the Roman Amphitheater, Palace Tombs and Jebel Harum (Mountain
of Aaron) and the Monastery. On our way back to Amman, we will see Ein
Musa, the Spring of Moses, Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Amman.

DAY 04. AMMAN/ JERICHO/ DEAD SEA / QUMRAN /
TIBERIAS. Early morning departure from Amman to cross the
Allenby Ridge to Jericho, the world's oldest city. We view the
excavation of the ancient Canaanite city that was destroyed by the
power of God. On to Qumran where we will see the caves in which the
Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947. Then we continue to the Dead Sea,
the lowest point on earth. We will stop in Ein Gedi where we can put
our feet into the Dead Sea. Afterwards, we head north through the
Jordan Valley to Tiberias for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
DAY 05. AROUND THE SEA OF GALILEE. This
morning we will take a cruise across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum,
Jesus' second home. Here we will see the second century Synagogue and
the House of Peter's mother-in-law. Re-board our motorcoach for Tabgha,
the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fish.
Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. We
will end the day with a stop at the Jordan River to see the traditional
site of Baptism then return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 06. NAZARETH / MEGIDDO / HAIFA / CAESAREA /
JERUSALEM. After breakfast we depart Tiberias and proceed to
Nazareth to see the Church of the Annunciation. Continue to the Valley
of Armageddon and the historic military fortress that controlled the
highway between Egypt and Mesopotamia. On to Haifa to see Mt. Carmel
and visit Elijah's Cave. We will drive south along the Mediterranean
Sea and stop in Caesarea, the ancient port built by King Herod the
Great. Then continue on to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
DAY 07. MOUNT OF OLIVES / BETHLEHEM / JERUSALEM.
This morning we start with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the Mount
of Olives. Continue to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. We will
visit the Church of the Nativity, Manger Square and the Shepherds'
Fields. Then we return to the new part of Jerusalem. Here we will see
Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist and the Hebrew University
campus. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. (B/D)
DAY 08. WALKING TOUR OF THE "OLD CITY".
Today we will be visiting the "Old City" of Jerusalem entering through
the Dung Gate. Visit the Western Wall, the Ecce Homo Arch (Behold the
Man) and the Via Dolorosa. We will also see Mount Moriah and the Dome
of the Rock, where tradition holds that Abraham took Isaac to be
sacrificed. Passing through the picturesque native bazaars we will see
the Way of the Cross, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Garden Tomb
and Skull Hill. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. (B/D)
DAY 09. JERUSALEM/CAIRO. Early morning
departure from Jerusalem to Cairo, Egypt. As we cross the border to
Egypt we are met by our Egyptian guide and driver. We will drive across
the Sinai Peninsula and cross the Suez Canal. We travel along the great
Nile River to Cairo where we check into our hotel for dinner and
overnight. (B/D)

DAY 10. CAIRO. Today we will visit many
sites of a great civilization. Our first stop will be the renowned
Egyptian Museum, which houses King Tut's treasure, statues of the
pharoah's and other interesting artifacts. Visit Cheops Pyramid and the
magnificent Sphinx. This afternoon we will drive through Old Cairo to
Khan el-Khalili bazaar, the 12th century Citadel, Ben Ezra Mosque and
the AMR Mosque. We will also see Republic Square, Abdin Palace, Sultan
Hassan Mosque and El Azhar University. Dinner and overnight at our
hotel. (B/D)
DAY 11. CAIRO/AMMAN. We have a morning of
leisure before our noon transfer to Cairo airport for our flight to
Amman. Dinner and overnight in Amman. (B/D)
DAY 12. AMMAN/USA. Depart for our return
flight back to the United States. We bring back with us our memories of
exciting and rewarding experiences in the Holy Land. This region will
be more understood now as we read history, scripture and current
events. (B/D)
